Traffic Impacts - Week of Nov. 5 to Nov. 11

Please be advised of the following lane closures, restrictions and planned work for next week for the I-70 over 32nd Avenue Bridge Replacement project in Jefferson County. Substantial project completion is expected by Nov. 10, with full completion pending final inspections.

Monday, Nov. 6 to Thursday, Nov. 9 - both directions of I-70 - intermittent overnight lane closures
- Intermittent single lane closures will be taken nightly on both westbound and eastbound I-70 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday
- These single lanes will switch to double lane closures in both directions of I-70 at 9 p.m. and last until approx. 6 a.m. each morning, as needed
- The double lane closures will alternate left to right, as needed
- Late lane reopenings are possible and delays are expected
- The project limits on I-70 extend from Mile Point 263 to MP 265
- All schedules are weather dependent and subject to change
Work includes final pavement and shoulder finishing, and sign installation.

Monday, Nov. 6 to Friday, Nov. 10 - 32nd Ave under I-70 - intermittent daytime lane closures
- Intermittent single to double lane closures may exist from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday in both directions of 32nd Ave under I-70
- Single lane closures may exist before 7:30 a.m. and after 4 p.m., as needed
- Temporary lane closures are also expected on Youngfield St. at the intersection of 32nd Ave. for misc. work
- All schedules are weather dependent and subject to change

I-70 over Ward Road Bridge Replacement
- A full closure of Ward Rd/CO 72 under I-70 is planned from 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7 during demolition of the westbound I-70 over Ward Road bridge structure
- During this full closure, detour signage will exist to route motorists to W. 44th Ave. to enter westbound I-70 at Clear Creek/32nd Ave
- Other detour routes do exist
- The project limits on I-70 extend from MP 265 to MP 266.5
- No impacts to I-70 or the westbound I-70 ramps will be in place during the demolition and closure of Ward Road
- No overnight lane closures are planned on I-70 within the project limits Sunday to Thursday
- Intermittent daytime and overnight lane closures will be taken in both directions of Ward Road/CO 72 under the I-70 bridges Wednesday to Friday (after demolition work)
- The closures on Ward Road will exist Wednesday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. as needed
- All construction schedules are weather and supply dependent and subject to change
Work includes removal of the westbound I-70 over Ward Road bridge, and excavation of abutments.
