From March to December 2016, crews rehabilitated eight bridges on I-70 east of Burlington (mile points 441 - 449).
Rehabilitation work involved replacing concrete approach slabs and guardrail, performing deck repairs, and repairing slope and ditch paving on I-70 bridges over county roads.
The last major work performed on these bridges—built in 1969—took place more than 20 years ago.
This project required a continuous lane closure in each direction of I-70 for approximately nine months. Work was substantially complete in early December 2016.
