Stakeholder Working Group Meeting, August 22, 2012

A Stakeholders Working Group (SWG) Workshop was held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m., at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. There were 25 participants from the businesses, local agencies, and the community. The workshop focused on providing input on alignments and options still under consideration. Tradeoffs between community values or project objectives were discussed for the four alternatives. Four groups moved through four stations where they were asked key value questions – what they liked and disliked and what the important considerations about the four alternatives still under consideration. The Stakeholder Working Group attendees were asked to discuss what they liked about certain considerations, and what concerns they had and why in the areas of visual/urban design, pedestrian/bicycle network, and traffic operations.
