Stakeholder Working Group Meeting, November 14, 2012

A Stakeholders Working Group (SWG) Workshop was held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. There were 23 participants from the businesses, local agencies, and the community. The workshop focused on bridge type options, including visual and aesthetic considerations and their implications for construction timing and traffic impacts; and opportunities for retaining, improving, or replacing the pedestrian bridge. After an update on the project status, small groups addressed three topics: visual and aesthetics, constructability and impacts, and the pedestrian bridge.

A copy of the exhibits that were the basis for discussion and a summary of the discussion points are provided in the links below. The group’s comments are being incorporated into further refinement and evaluation of alternatives.
