Starting in April 2019, crews on this project began adding a new northbound passing lane to US 287 south of Lamar (from mile points (MP) 50.3 to 52.1) and connecting two northbound climbing lanes (from MP 57.8 to 59.5).

Project work at these two sites included:

  • removing concrete and asphalt pavement;
  • concrete paving;
  • placing aggregate base course;
  • embankment, topsoil and native seeding work;
  • replacing/adding guardrail; and
  • striping.
