In November 2019, CDOT completed the resurfacing of the eastbound lanes of a six-mile stretch of US Highway 50—from mile points 62.48 to 68.48—just west of the City of Delta in Delta County. Other work included:

• rebuilding the road using recycled material from the existing one (aka full-depth reclamation) at four locations;
• replacing guardrail;
• improving drainage;
• striping; and
• installing delineators to provide guidance on the road.
