About the Project

Colorado Department of Transportation will widen the existing roadway at the intersection of US 85 and WCR 98. The improvements include widening at the UPRR crossing toward south to accommodate larger turning capacity. Drivers can expect lane closures and flagging operations as Zak Dirt, works on the project, finishing in early fall of this year.

Work Schedule

  • Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 7. Work is expected to be completed by early fall 2020.
  • Normal work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Traffic Impacts

  • All motorized vehicles should expect travel impacts throughout the construction of this project.
  • Flagging operations will be in effect. Motorists should be aware of lane closures.
  • Speed reduction to four MPH will be in effect. Motorists are urged to obey speed reductions and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
