US 40 & CO 394 Bridge Repairs in Craig & Hayden

          Project Overview
This project included the repair five bridges—five on US Highway 40, and one on US 385—to preserve and extend the structures' lives.
Specific improvements included:
- repairing and upgrading five bridges along US 40 and CO 394
 - applying new waterproof materials to some of the bridges, and repairing the concrete along the bridge walls
 - asphalt paving

 - Location: Various locations on US Highway 40 between Craig and Hayden in Routt County
 
Schedule
Craig Bridge Repairs
- Timeline: March to July
 - Phase 1: Complete and ahead of schedule, with the exception of striping
 - The bridges on US 40 are 40% complete.
 - The bridge on CO 394 is 40% complete.
 - Phase 2 will include rehabilitation work, replacing slabs, placing and excavating manholes/inlets and more.
 - September or October: Crews will perform reinforcement work around the bridge abutments.
 
Hayden Bridge Repairs
- Timeline: July – September
 - Work hours: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, with no weekend or night work expected
 - The bridge in east Hayden is 95% complete.
 - Crews will stripe lanes at the East Hayden Bridge.
 - In July, they'll begin work on the West Hayden Bridge.
