CO 93 from Golden to Boulder Intelligent Transportation System installation

Project Overview

This project installed fiber optic cable on CO 93, from Golden to Boulder. This will accommodate the future implementation of the intelligent transportation system (ITS), which will include the use of connected vehicles (aka, driverless cars).

Project work, estimated to cost $3 million (and valued at $15 million), was completed during the day, Monday - Friday, through November 2016.
