US 40 & I-70 Intersection Improvements in Aurora

From September through November 2019, crews will:

• replace traffic signals;
• improve sidewalks to comply with the ADA;
• widen ramps on I-225; and
• extend left-turn lanes from westbound Colfax Avenue onto Potomac;
• add a second left-turn lane in both directions of Colfax Avenue onto I-225.

Travel impacts include:

• single- and double-lane closures in both directions;
• sidewalk closures; and
• on- and off-ramp closures.

From late August through October 2019, crews will:

• replace traffic signals;
• improve sidewalks to comply with the ADA; and
• add a second left-turn lane on westbound Colfax onto Chambers Road.

Travel impacts include:

• single-lane closures in both directions; and
• sidewalk closures.

November Work: Traffic signal replacement, improvements to sidewalks in compliance with the ADA Impacts: North and southbound single lane closures, sidewalk closures, on and off–ramp closures

In November 2019, crews will:
