Broomfield County Traffic Signal Replacement

Work Schedule

January 19-24

Crews will work Sunday, Jan. 19, on Wadsworth Parkway (US 287) from W 6th Ave to W Midway Blvd, from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

During activities, a single-lane closure will be in effect for both northbound and southbound traffic.  Temporary traffic stops, of no more than 5 minutes, will be required for the installation of a mast arm at the intersections.

From Monday (Jan 20) to Thursday (Jan 23), work will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Both directions of Wadsworth Parkway (US 287) at W. 6th Avenue, with a single-lane closure in place
  • Both directions of Wadsworth Parkway (US 287) at W Midway Boulevard, with a single-lane closure in place

In November 2019, crews on this project will begin replacing traffic signals at three intersections in Broomfield County.

The impacted intersections are:

  • CO 128 (W 120th Ave) and Eldorado Blvd
  • Highway 287 and W Midway Blvd
  • Highway 287 and W 6th Ave

Specific improvements include:

  • removing traffic signal and installing new ones
  • ADA curb ramps
  • curb and gutter and sidewalk replacement
  • modification of pedestrian island
  • storm drain inlet protection
  • signing and striping

Traffic Impacts

  • Crews will conduct daytime and nighttime activities, with traffic and pedestrian impacts during working hours.
  • Daytime working hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with shoulder closure and possible pedestrian detours.
  • Nighttime working hours are from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday with a single lane closure and possible pedestrian impacts.
