  • Crews have installed the new traffic signals at the three intersections, improving the safety of motorists and pedestrians in the area
  • Activities on this project will resume in the Spring of 2020 with crews completing minor landscaping work.

In November 2019, crews on this project will begin replacing traffic signals at three intersections in Broomfield County.

The impacted intersections are:

  • CO 128 (W 120th Ave) and Eldorado Blvd
  • Highway 287 and W Midway Blvd
  • Highway 287 and W 6th Ave

Specific improvements include:

  • removing traffic signal and installing new ones
  • ADA curb ramps
  • curb and gutter and sidewalk replacement
  • modification of pedestrian island
  • storm drain inlet protection
  • signing and striping

Traffic Impacts

  • Crews will conduct daytime and nighttime activities, with traffic and pedestrian impacts during working hours.
  • Daytime working hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with shoulder closure and possible pedestrian detours.
  • Nighttime working hours are from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday with a single lane closure and possible pedestrian impacts.
