CO 52 is OPEN.

  • The contractor team will install guardrail and replace mailbox posts this week in addition to paving highway approaches and driveways between WCR 73 and WCR 95. Expect intermittent lane closures, Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

About the Project:

Colorado Highway 52 near Prospect Valley will be resurfaced starting in July 2021. Over ten miles of CO 52 between Weld County Road 73 and WCR 95 (Mile Points 44 - 54.5) will receive a new asphalt surface. In most areas, the roadway will be rebuilt from the ground up using a method called full-depth reclamation. This project will also repair two bridges, upgrade guardrail, replace mailbox posts and install new roadside delineators. Martin Marietta will perform the work. 

Work Schedule

  • Expect various mobile construction operations Monday through Saturday, daylight hours.
  • Project completion is anticipated in December 2021.

Traffic Impacts

Please be aware of the following conditions in the work zone:

  • Temporary rough riding surfaces will be present until paving is finished
  • Speed limit reductions and width restrictions will be in place as needed
  • All work is weather-dependent and the schedule is subject to change
