Week of June 22

  • Crews will complete minor work on various on-ramps along north and southbound I-25 in Douglas County. Activities will not cause significant traffic impacts, with a localized and temporary shoulder closure in place. Typical working hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • A single lane closure is expected ruing striping operations on Tuesday night, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., at the following locations:
    • Plum Creek Pkwy ramp to southbound I-25
    • Wilcox St ramp to southbound I-25
    • Castle Rock Pkwy ramp to southbound I-25
    • Happy Canyon Rd to southbound I-25

Project Details

The project will consist of installation of 16 ramp metering at along northbound and southbound I-25 in Douglas County, between MP180.55 and MP192.97. In three locations (Meadows Parkway, Wolfensberger, and Plum Creek Parkway) CDOT will also widen the existing ramps. Once operational, the ramp meters will help ease congestion, improve the flow of traffic on I-25, and increase safety.

Travel Impacts

  • Work hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
  • Expect:
    • reduced speed limits;
    • shoulder closures and temporary lane closures; and
    • temporary slowdowns and delays.
