Pile driving has been completed.  We are in the process of removing the crane and pile hammer.  Once that is completed, we will begin setting up for the installation of the concrete sound wall panels.

Construction of the new sound wall along the Silver Plume on-ramp to westbound I-70 began in October 2019. This on-ramp is open for the winter season, however, there could be occasional short-term closures of the ramp if weather conditions are favorable for work to be done during the winter. This on-ramp will close again April 1, 2020, and remain closed for about six to eight weeks to finish building the new sound wall, weather permitting.

During this closure, crews will be putting the sound wall panels in place to improve safety, functionality, durability and aesthetics.

While the Silver Plume westbound on-ramp is closed, drivers will be detoured along Silver Valley Road to the westbound I-70 on-ramp in Bakerville.

Traffic Impacts
