I-25 Resurfacing Midway in Fountain

About the Project:

Surface treatment work will begin on April 30. Work will take place along Interstate 25, beginning south of Fountain all the way to the city of Wigwam. The paving project will happen over a three-month period on 1-25 at Mile Point 119 to MP 124.5. Work will primarily consist of resurfacing. Work will be done in both the northbound and southbound lanes for a five-mile stretch of I-25.

Work Schedule:

  • Work will last approximately 4 months
  • Work will primarily occur at night
  • Daytime work hours range from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Night-time weekday work hours range from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday morning
  • Night-time weekend work hours range from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. Friday into Sunday morning

Traffic Impacts:

Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:

  • Vehicles will be reduced to a northbound and southbound single-lane at nighttime
  • Northbound and southbound road shoulders will be closed during the day
  • On and off-ramp closures, guided by flaggers and detour signs, will have up to 15-minute delays
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 60 mph through the work zone
