I-70 Bridge Repairs in Arapahoe County

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation, in partnership with Structures Inc., will begin work on the Interstate 70 bridge rehabilitation and deck repair project on Sept. 8, 2025. This project is located southeast of Byers on I-70 from Milepoint 323.1 to 325.3. 

Work consists of:

  • Bridge deck repairs at four structures
  • Full depth concrete pavement reconstruction at bridge approaches
  • Girder and column repairs

The project is expected to complete in September 2026.

Different from the traffic impacts, this should be the general working hours and schedule of the project. Example:

  • Work will occur during daytime hours, Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 24/7 lane closures on I-70 from MP 323.1 to 325.3 from Sept.15, 2025 through Nov. 21, 2025

Traffic Impacts

Motorists and area residents can expect the following impacts during construction:

  • Work will occur during daytime hours, Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 24/7 lane closures on I-70 from MP 323.1 to 325.3 from Sept. 15, 2025 through Nov. 21, 2025
  • Single lane closures and shoulder closures will take place within the work zone
