Dear Swansea Families,

It's our number one priority to make sure everyone gets home safe. The Central 70 Project wants to keep you informed about upcoming closures and different ways to stay safe around the construction zone. Thank you for your patience, and drive safely.

Parents

Students

Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you. Stay away from construction equipment, even if it is not on.
Obey posted speed limit signs of 25 mph in the school zone and drive without distractions. Do not climb or play on piles of dirt.
Look for signage to direct you. Be aware of equipment moving in and out of construction zones.
Watch for flaggers directing the flow of traffic and pedestrian crossing. Look both ways before crossing the street.
Expect delays, especially during peak travel times. Look for signs that are obstructing a crosswalk or state that a sidewalk is closed.
Anticipate lane shifts, and merge when directed to do so. Hold hands when walking with young children near the construction zone.
