Peaks to Plains Trail

Through this collaborative project, crews will build the Peaks to Plains Trail—a 65-mile trail stretching from the Continental Divide on Loveland Pass to the South Platte River Trail in Denver and Adams County.

The trail is one of the 16 Priority Trail Projects in 2016 included in the Colorado the Beautiful Initiative highlighted in Governor Hickenlooper’s State of the State address in 2015.

This project is a collaboration among multiple agencies:

  • CDOT
  • Jefferson County Open Space
  • CEI
  • Clear Creek County Open Space
  • Great Outdoors Colorado
  • Muller Engineering Company
