Statewide Fiber Backbone Connection to State Buildings

About the Project

Interface Communications Company will connect numerous state buildings to the fiber backbone network. This project will provide communications between multiple CDOT Maintenance Facilities and CDOT’s Intelligent Transportation Center located in Golden Colorado.

  • Location: Various highways near State buildings in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Jefferson, Kit Carson, Larimer, Lincoln, and Weld counties

Proposed Work Schedule

  • Crews will be working Monday, November 23 - Wednesday, November 25, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, along the on/off ramps of SB I-25 at E CR 7
  • Travelers can expect the right shoulder of SB I-25 off-ramp through through right shoulder of SB on-ramp closed

Traffic Impacts

  • This project began September 28th, 2020. Work is expected to be completed by July 2021
  • Daytime working hours will be Monday – Friday between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm or as directed by Region Lane Closure Requirements per area
  • No width restriction or speed reduction is anticipated
