US 24 Resurfacing from Burlington to Bethune
About the Project
This is a resurfacing project on US 24 from the intersection of Rose Avenue and Lincoln Street in Burlington (MP 454.8) to west of Bethune (MP 443 or 444, depending on funding).
The project includes:
- Milling the existing wide pavement section, intersecting streets and driveways
- Milling some shoulders at the following locations:
- West of Burlington
- County Road 40 intersection in Bethune
- The Landsman Creek bridge
- Two-inch hot mix asphalt overlay

Project Benefits

Work Schedule
- The project is anticipated to begin Sept. 29, 2025
- Work is expected to be complete in early to mid November
- Normal working hours will be from approximately 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Traffic Impacts
Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:
- There will be one-lane alternating traffic during work hours throughout the course of the project
- Delays up to 10 minutes can be expected
- The speed limit will be reduced to 40 MPH through the work zone
- Loads wider than 10 feet will be restricted through the work zone
