US 24 Signal Replacement in Woodland Park
About the Project:
The US Highway 24 signal replacement project in Woodland Park will take place at two locations on US Highway 24 at Trout Creek Road and Aspen Garden Way/Paradise Circle.
The project will replace outdated traffic signals with new traffic signal equipment, poles, mast arms, vehicle detection equipment, closed circuit television cameras, advanced flashing beacons, signing and minor striping at each intersection. Additional work includes removing and installing curb, gutter and Americans with Disabilities Act ramps at Aspen Garden Way/Paradise Circle.
Project Benefits
- Traffic signals are a vital part of controlling traffic in a safe and efficient manner by providing regulated movement. Vehicle detection will reduce unnecessary delays and stops at the intersection while improving travel times and increasing the amount of traffic that an intersection can handle.
- Other benefits of the project include the installation of ADA compliant curb ramps at Aspen Garden Way/Paradise Circle. The new ramps will be constructed in compliance with the Public Right of Way Accessibility Guidelines requirements and will provide function accessibility to all travelers using our state and US highways.
Work Schedule & Traffic Impacts
- Daytime shoulder closures Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Daytime turn lane closures Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Aspen Garden Way/Paradise Circle.
- Nighttime single lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
