US 6 & CO 141 Resurfacing Project

Crews will continue paving eastbound US 6 this week with pilot car operations. Minimal delays should be expected. Business access will remain open at locations where paving is passing through.

The project will be off the roadway by noon on Friday, May 27 and not back until Tuesday, May 31 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

About the Project:

A resurfacing project on US 6 from Mile Point 37-46. The project is located in the greater Grand Junction area, from Clifton to just east of the Town of Palisade. During the project, improvements will take place along nine miles of US 6, from just west of the US 6 intersection with 33 Road to the eastbound on-ramp of I-70 just east of Palisade.

Additional project work will include guardrail replacement, ADA ramp construction, sign replacement and striping. The project also includes resurfacing work on CO 141 starting at the intersection of US Highway 50. This work will take place on CO 141 from MP 156-159, ending at the Colorado River Bridge.

All work on the project is anticipated to end in late June.
