How we can slow speeding drivers to save lives (IIHS-HLDI)
Shift into Safe News
In June, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) hosted a public webinar focused on one of our biggest highway safety challenges in the U.S. — slowing down drivers. Speed is a factor in more than a quarter of crash deaths each year, and addressing this toll requires implementing proven policies, designing safe roads and pedestrian infrastructure, and leveraging new vehicle technologies. Addressing excessive speed and other risky driver behaviors is a key component of IIHS's 30x30 vision, a goal of reducing crash deaths 30% by 2030.
Join Jessica Cicchino, senior VP for behavior and infrastructure research, and Ian Reagan, senior research scientist, for this full replay of the one-hour webinar.
