SFY26 High Visibility Impaired Driving Enforcement (HVE) Applications

In April, the LEL Team began distributing applications for the SFY26 High Visibility Impaired Driving Enforcement (HVE) program to law enforcement agencies across Colorado. This program, funded by CDOT's Office of Transportation Safety, supports overtime enforcement of Colorado's impaired driving laws. To participate, officers must be SFST certified and in good standing for enforcing these laws. There are 16 high-visibility enforcement periods, which may include checkpoints, saturation patrols, increased patrols, or dedicated enforcement vehicles. The application deadline is May 9.
