The Colorado Department of Transportation's Highway Safety Office and Traffic Safety and Engineering Services is looking for presenters for breakout sessions for the 2023 Colorado Traffic Safety Summit.

Summit dates and the location will be announced here once they become available.

The Traffic Safety Summit is an opportunity to bring together law enforcement, engineering, community planning, education, advocacy, emergency response, and healthcare professionals to share information and best practices to address critical issues on Colorado’s roadways. Now is your opportunity to be part of the conference by submitting a session proposal.

Call for Presenters

What we’re looking for:

  • Presenters of diverse disciplines, geographies, and backgrounds
  • Exciting presentations that impart knowledge and showcase innovation
  • Sessions that embody one of the following themes:
    • Safe Roads: Covers all roadway design improvements that prioritize safety
    • Safe Driving: Addresses driving behaviors such as impaired, distracted, or aggressive driving, occupant protection, and speeding
    • Safe People: Focuses on vulnerable roadway users such as bicyclists, pedestrians, road crews, and first responders, and vulnerable drivers like the young or elderly
    • Post-Crash Care: Addresses crash response. May include topics ranging from Traffic Incident Management to patient care, and everything in between.
    • Safety Culture: Covers includes topics that address high-level safety issues in the state such as data management, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), policy/legislation,
      funding, and communication
