Design-Bid-Build Construction Project Advertisements

CDOT posts new advertisements on a bi-weekly schedule. Our next advertisement date is April 23, 2020. A schedule of future planned advertisement dates is available by clicking on this link - Bid Advertisement Calendar.
Electronic plans and specifications are available to registered contractors at B2G. Please be sure to do an account lookup if you are new to the system as many vendors have been entered by CDOT into the system. This will allow you to reset the password if the proper contacts were entered. Upon registration, you can find the plans and specifications or the plan holders list for each project under the "View" menu by selecting "My Bid Solicitations". 
Prime contractors are directed to our Rules Governing Construction Bidding for CDOT Projects which details the requirements of Prequalification in Section 2
All Design-Bid-Build proposals are processed electronically via Bid Express.  Primes must obtain a Digital ID for an agent identified in your prequalification registration.

CC 0852-106 (19201-Combo) ~ This project is located in Region 1 in Douglas county.  It begins at MP 191.44 and goes to MP 196.56. The work includes reconstruction and widening with concrete pavement, raised median, inside curb and gutter, bridge replacement, storm drain system, retaining wall, steep slope earthwork, deer fencing, new traffic signal, signing, striping, and utility relocation's.  The Resident Engineer is Roman Jauregui 303-365-7255.

This project is located in Region 2 in El Paso & Pueblo counties.  This project is being advertised as a multiple bid project. The project plans will exhibit three separate scopes for possible work to be done. Only one scope will be constructed. All three scopes will be open to bidding. This has a DBE goal of 6% The Resident Engineer is David Watt 719-227-3202.

 SCHEDULE A:

Schedule A limits will be MP 114.05 to 121.07. Scope shall include flattening of slopes, paving of mow strip, installation of cable barrier, installation of guardrail, raising of inlets, and resetting of guardrail for all project limits where shown in plans.

 SCHEDULE B:

Schedule B limits will be MP 114.05 to 121.07. Scope shall include flattening of slopes, installation of guardrail, raising of inlets, and resetting of guardrail between MP 114.05 and 121.07. Schedule B will also pave a mow strip and install cable barrier between MP 115.87 and 119.70.

 SCHEDULE C:

Schedule C will limits will be MP 115.87 to 121.07. Scope shall include flattening of slopes, paving of mow strip, installation of cable barrier, installation of guardrail, raising of inlets, and resetting of guardrail for above project limits where shown in plans.

 There will be an optional pre-bid meeting held on 3/24/2020 at 14:00 (2:00 PM) in the 1480 Quail Lake Loop, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 complex in the Cave of the Winds Conference Room.

NHPP 1601-077 (21257) ~ This project is located in Region 5 in Montezuma county.  This project is located on US 160 from mile point (MP) 29.750 to MP 34.89 for a length of 5.141 miles.  Consisting of a double lift chipseal with a micro-surfacing top lift. The first lift of chips will be Type 2 and the second lift will be Type 1. Chipseal will utilize CRS-2P Emulsion. Micro-surfacing will be placed on top of both lifts of chips.  The Resident Engineer is Jason Fullerton 970-385-8370.

SFTY 2254-091 (22416) ~ This project is located in Region 1 in Arapahoe county.  The project includes Ramp Safety Improvements at the southbound I-225 at Parker Rd (SH 83) off ramp and at southbound I225 on the I-25 northbound on- ramp. Work includes concrete and asphalt roadway widening work, barrier and slope paving removal and replacement, guard rail placement, and removing and installing signs and sign structures. FSA 1602-159 (21138) ~ This project is located in Region 5 on US 160 in Alamosa county between mileposts 233.8 and 234.0. The work consists of signalizing the US 160 and SH 17 intersection, rebuilding the existing roadway in concrete, construction of ADA ramps, signing and striping, traffic control, erosion control, and utility relocations.  The Resident Engineer is Mike Coggins 720-415-5872.

*FBR 0343-042 (22962) ~ This project is located in Region 4 in Yuma county.  This project will consist of replacing timber structure D-27-G located on US 34 at MP 248.5. The new structure G-27-H will be a prestressed concrete box girder bridge supported by steel piling foundations at the abutments. An on-site shoofly will be constructed in order to accommodate traffic during the construction of the new structure. The new structure will also be wider than the existing structure in order to provide a turn lane on to Sunset Lane.  The resident engineer is Jeffrey Dollerschell 970-521-9714.

*C 0853-112 (22746) ~ This project is located in Region 4 in Weld county.  This is an intersection improvement project involves widening the existing roadway. US85 at WCR98 will be widened towards west to adopt auxiliary lanes. The improvement on US85 starts from M.P. 287.5 and ends at 288.6 approximately. WCR98 at the UPRR railroad crossing will be widened towards south to accommodate larger turning radii. As a result of the railroad crossing widening, the rail track concrete panels will be replaced by UPRR. The existing alignment of WCR98 at the intersection will also be improved for through traffic. The total length of WCR98 improvement is about 630 ft.  The resident engineer is Louis Keen 970-350-2228.
