June 16, 2011 - Traffic Safety - DENVER – The Colorado State Patrol and law enforcement agencies across the state issued 8,105 seat belt citations to drivers during the Click It or Ticket campaign, May 23 – June 5th.

CDOT Employees Honored for Saving Skier from Avalanche

June 16, 2011 - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - DENVER, COLORADO – Two current Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) employees and one former employee were honored during a meeting of the Colorado Transportation Commission in Denver on June 16 for their efforts to save a skier from an avalanche along U.S. 50 near Monarch Pass on February 27, 2011.

Record of Decision Signed for I-70 Mountain Corridor

June 16, 2011 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DENVER – After more than 20 years of extensive study, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) signed the Record of Decision (ROD) for the Interstate 70 Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) today, establishing the framework for implementing major improvements on the I-70 Corridor between C-470 and Glenwood Springs.

CDOT to Begin Major Resurfacing Project on US 40 Over Muddy Pass

June 20, 2011 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GRAND/JACKSON COUNTIES – This Wednesday, June 22, the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor A & S Construction will begin a project to resurface US 40 over Muddy Pass, between MP 165 and 179 (east and west of SH 14). The work was contracted to A & S Construction for $4.2 million.

Bridge Work to Impact Traffic at C-470/Santa Fe Drive Interchange This Week

June 20, 2011 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DOUGLAS COUNTY— This week, June 20th through June 24th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will install guardrail and pour the bridge deck from the new flyover ramp from southbound Santa Fe Drive to eastbound C-470. As a result, there will be various single lane closures, full closures, and ramp closures.

June 20, 2011 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Project Delayed One Day - PARK COUNTY – Due to adverse weather, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) postponed today’s U.S. 24 paving operation on the east side of Wilkerson Pass.

Traffic Stops on Highway 285 Next Week

June 21, 2011 - PARK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be stopping traffic on U.S. 285 next week, allowing crews to analyze the road surface in preparation for a future paving project through South Park.

June 23, 2011 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is advising drivers to be prepared for approximately 1300 bicyclists on Interstate 70, east of the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnel (EJMT), on Saturday, June 25.
