EPB Welcomes Temporary Archaeologist
EPB has a new temporary archaeologist, Brittany Samm, hired to help Greg Wolff and Becca Simon with the CDOT archaeology program at EPB that provides project delivery support statewide. Brittany started this week and is well on her way to learning how archaeology is managed at CDOT!
Brittany brings a wealth of experience to CDOT. Previously, she was an archaeologist at Western Area Power Administration (DOE) and City of Boulder (OSMP). She holds a Master's Degree in cultural heritage management and a certificate in digital curation from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in archaeology and history from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Although born in Detroit, Michigan, she has lived all of her life in Colorado and considers herself a Colorado native. Currently, she lives in Windsor, CO with her husband and two cats. Brittany enjoys gardening, historic research, crafting, and photography In her free time and travels whenever possible. She has spent time excavating a Maya city in Belize, studying Heritage Management in Modena, Italy, and recently returned from a trip to the British Isles and Normandy with her family.
