Colorado Boulevard between Alameda Ave and Martin Luther King Boulevard

Project completed

Project Overview

In early June 2010, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin a surface treatment project on Colorado Boulevard between Alameda Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.  The project will resurface approximately 3.5 miles of Colorado Boulevard in asphalt, reconstruct the medians and reconstruct the signals and turn lanes at the Colorado Boulevard/Colfax Avenue; Colorado Boulevard/17th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard/Montview Boulevard intersections.  In addition, curb and gutter, bus pads and curb ramps will be repaired or reconstructed, as necessary.  The project should be complete by the end of October 2010.

The median work will take place Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with single lane closures possible on northbound and southbound Colorado Boulevard.  The paving operations will likely take place Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. with double lane closures possible on northbound and southbound Colorado Boulevard.  CDOT may adjust work hours to help minimize impacts to construction.
