US 6 from CO 58 to I-25 Intelligent Transportation System installation

Project Overview

This project will install fiber optic cable along US 6, from Colorado Highway 58 to I-25. This will accommodate the future implementation of the intelligent transportation system (ITS), which will include the use of connected vehicles (aka, driverless cars).

Project work, estimated to cost $3 million (and valued at $15 million), will be completed during the day, Monday - Friday, through November 2016.
