About the Project
This bridge project will benefit the public by updating the bridge rails and signs at these two locations which will make the bridges safer. Guardrails help to prevent vehicles from running off the road and going down steep embankments or hitting roadside obstacles. The work includes:
- Removal and replacement of the bridge guardrail
- Replacing the signage

Project Benefits
- Updating the bridge rails at these two locations which will make the bridges safer for the traveling public.
Work Schedule
- Beginning March 15, working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Work will begin at the Boulder bridge on CO 157, then will move on to the Deer Trail bridge on I-70 next month
- Work is expected to be complete in the spring of 2026
Traffic Impacts
- Single lane closures will be in effect as crews work at each location
- Speeds will be reduced through the work zones
