CO 157 Pavement Rehabilitation

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation and prime contractor Acme Concrete Paving Inc., will be performing a concrete rehabilitation project on CO 157 (Foothills Parkway) in the City and County of Boulder. Construction will take place between CO 119 and Pearl Parkway (Mile Point 2.73 to MP 4.52.) 

Major work components will include:

  • Removal of existing concrete panels
  • Pouring and curing new concrete panels
  • Diamond grinding
  • Sign replacements
  • Guardrail upgrades

Work Schedule

  • General working hours will take place weekday nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Additional daytime and weekend work is expected intermittently

Traffic Impacts

Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:

  • Traffic will be reduced to a single lane during weeknights
    • One through-lane of travel will remain open in each direction
  • The initial concrete panel replacements will require weekend work in addition to weeknight operations.
    • Expect various nighttime and daytime closures for the first six to eight weekends of the project
  • CO 157 will experience several weekends of full closures with minor local detour routes.
    • Full closures will occur one direction at a time and during weekends only to avoid impacting daily commuters
  • Alternate routes are advised during peak travel times and during periods of full roadway closures
  • The Pearl Parkway on and off-ramps at CO 157 will experience intermittent closures with detour routes
    • These closures are expected to be minimal throughout the project’s duration
  • While significant delays are not anticipated, account for up to 10 minutes of extra travel time.
  • Be aware of additional ongoing road construction projects in the area
    • Teams will coordinate closures to minimize impacts to the traveling public
