Project Benefits
- Chip sealing is a cost-effective, relatively inexpensive method of pavement maintenance and preservation of the roadway, performed between the more expensive (costly) alternatives of asphalt overlays.
- Chip seals can significantly extend the life of existing pavement, delaying the need for more costly repairs or replacements.
Work Schedule
Daytime work hours range from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Traffic Impacts
- Alternating traffic intermittently in either direction during the work hours of the project
- Lane closures, guided by flaggers, will have up to 15-minute delays
- The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph through the work zone
