CO 7 Resurfacing between I-25 & Brighton

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation and Asphalt Specialties, Inc. are restarting milling and paving operations for the CO 7 Resurfacing project from MP 66.92 to MP 77.05 (project boundaries are between I-25 in Thornton and US 85 in Brighton).

The project includes:

  • Asphalt patching
  • Milling
  • Paving

These improvements increase the longevity, smoothness, and safety of the road.

Work Schedule

  • Work for the upcoming week is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday

Traffic  

  • Daytime work (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on CO 7 between I-25 and US 85
  • Guardrail work
  • Traffic delays
  • Lane shifts at various locations along CO 7
  • Alternating shoulder closures at various locations along CO 7
  • Left turn lane shift at the intersection of eastbound CO 7 and Colorado Boulevard
  • Shifting shoulders, lanes and turn lanes will be marked with signs and directed by flaggers
  • Speed limit reductions (reduced speed limits will be posted with signs)
  • Refer to COtrip.org for real-time travel conditions and road closures
