CO 82 & Catherine Store Signal Upgrades

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation and prime contractor, Morton Electric, will be replacing the traffic signal equipment on the existing poles at the intersection of Colorado Highway 82 and Catherine Store Road in Garfield County. The new signal components will include upgraded cabinet, heads signs and conduit. Additional new striping and crosswalk pavement marking will also be implemented at the intersection.

Traffic Impacts

Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:

  • Single-lane closures on east and westbound CO 82
  • Turn-lane closures at Catherine Store Road
  • Intermittent single-lane closures on Catherine Store Road with flagging operations
  • The majority of the project’s lane closures will take place during daytime hours, however, more impactful work may take place overnight
  • Minimal delays are expected
