Denver Metro Railroad Expansion Device Repairs

About the Project

This work consists of saw cutting, removing, and disposing of existing deteriorated bridge deck and approach slab concrete for structures E-17-OR and E-17-PQ. The contractor will install inlet protection in all of the bridge inlets. They will repair the deck (Class 2 or 3), remove and replace the expansion devices, seal the deck with concrete sealer, apply permanent paving markings and repair the drainage and slope paving at structure E-17-PQ.

Removal operations shall be conducted so that the traveling public is protected, and so that interference with the traveling public using the structure is minimized.

The project includes:

  • Removal and replacement of expansion devices
  • Joint, deck and drainage repairs
  • Concrete sealing
  • Slope paving
