El Paso County American with Disabilities Act Ramp Work

About the Project:

An Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp work project will begin on March 4. Work will take place along seven roadways, I-25, I-25 Frontage Road, US 24, US 85, CO 16, CO 105, and CO 115. The project will happen in three different phases. All three phases will work on replacing ADA curb ramps and pedestrian push buttons in order to bring ramps into ADA compliance.


Project Benefits

  • This project will improve existing curb ramps so they are safer and more accessible for pedestrians and people who depend on wheelchairs to travel
  • These improvements have many important benefits including ensuring that all current standards are met and maintained on ADA ramps, and pedestrian safety and accessibility is enhanced.

Work Schedule:

  • Work will last approximately 5 months
  • Working hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday
  • Some overnight and weekend work is expected
