About the Project
This project will upgrade the mobility hub in the town of Fairplay. The project is located on Colorado Highway 9 (Main Street) at Mile Point 65.3 where it intersects with 4th Street.
The project will include:
- New transit stop with bus loading and unloading areas
- Passenger waiting zone
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant sidewalks and ramps
- New parking lot
- Internal circulation improvements
- Drainage and lighting infrastructure improvements

Work Schedule
- Work beings Sept. 16 and is expected to be complete late 2026
- Working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to noon on Fridays.
Traffic Impacts
- Various shoulder closures and some single lane closures will be in place within the work zone
- Motorists are urged to drive with caution, follow all signs, and leave plenty of following distance when traveling through the area
- Construction schedules could change depending on the weather
