I-270 York Street Bridge Preventative Maintenance

About the Project

Starting Dec. 8, the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Structures, Inc. will begin repairs on the York Street Bridge over I-270 in Commerce City.

Shoring and catchment systems will be installed on the underside of the bridge to significantly improve its safety and condition until a full bridge replacement can be completed as part of the I-270 Corridor Improvements project.

The project will mount a wooden decking system under areas of the bridge to prevent debris from falling beneath and onto I-270. This work will create a more stable driving surface on the York Street Bridge and help to prevent emergency lane closures due to safety issues. Work on this project is scheduled for completion in early February 2025.
