I-70 Noise Wall Replacement: I-76 to Pecos Street

About the Project:

The project will be primarily focused on replacing noise walls on I-70 between Pecos Street and the I-76 interchange (MP 273 to MP 269.5). Crews will also be working on replacing guardrails and barriers within this stretch of roadway. Operations will take place in both east and westbound I-70 lanes, with working hours taking place between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Nighttime operations are anticipated to take place as needed throughout the duration of the project. The project team will begin working on the north side of the interstate moving west from Pecos Street to I-76, and will then transition to the south side of the interstate working east. The goal of the project is to help reduce traffic related noise pollution for businesses and residents along the I-70 corridor. The guardrail and barrier replacements will also provide additional safety benefits to the traveling public.
