I-70 & North Airport Boulevard Drainage Improvements

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and its contractor, Myers and Sons Construction, are improving drainage along I-70 to help manage stormwater and make the highway safer.

Work includes:

  • Cleaning out existing pipes and drains
  • Upgrading drainage structures
  • Adding new trench drains to help water flow more efficiently and reduce flooding
  • Removing built-up debris
  • Protecting inlets
  • Connecting new concrete pipes to the existing drainage system

Work Schedule

  • Daytime working hours are 6 a.m. to 5"30 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Nighttime working hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., as needed

Traffic Impacts

Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:

  • A 12-foot width restriction will be in place
  • Flaggers may be in place to guide traffic during working hours
  • Use caution through the work zone
