I-76 Cable Rail Installation from Hudson to Keenesburg

About the Project

Beginning Oct.26, 2026, the Colorado Department of Transportation and its contracting partner, Coral Construction, will install new median cable barrier along Interstate 76 between Hudson and Keenesburg. The project is anticipated to be completed in December.

The new median cable barrier will provide an additional layer of safety for motorists traveling along I-76 between Mile Points 33 and 39. The steel cable system is designed to redirect vehicles that leave their lane and prevent them from crossing the median into oncoming traffic.
