Powhaton Bridge Rehabilitation
About the Project
The Colorado Department of Transportation is rehabilitating the Powhaton Bridge over I-70 in Aurora. The bridge will be completely closed to all traffic for a month from late May to July 23.
The bridge structure is being rehabilitated, which involves the following:
- Removing the old, damaged pavement Repairing the bridge deck
- Installing a waterproofing membrane, which prevents water from seeping in the pavement and structure
- Repaving the bridge surface
