US 160 Roadway Improvements in Southwestern Colorado

About the Project:

The project consists of chip seal, replacement of pavement markings, sign replacement, and asphalt mill and fill.

Project Benefits

  • The project will benefit the public by enhancing the safety by providing good skid resistance.
  • Chip sealing provides an effective moisture barrier for the underlying pavement against water intrusion by sealing cracks in the pavement.
  • Chip seal also prevents deterioration of the asphalt surface from the effects of aging and oxidation due to water and sun.
