US 24 Resurfacing from Peyton to Calhan
About the Project
Paving work will take place east of Peyton on a 10-mile stretch of highway to Calhan from Mile Point 332 to MP 342.5. The work will include minor culvert work, replacing curb and gutter, constructing a passing lane east of Calhan and widening a right-turn lane at Yoder Street to improve safety.

Work Schedule
- Nighttime working hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. from May 2026 through September 2026
- Daytime working hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April 2026 through July 2026
Traffic Impacts
- The project team will try to maintain two-way traffic during the daytime, where the roadway allows
- Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 MPH in town and 40 MPH out of town
- Loads wider than 11 feet will be restricted through the work zone
