US 287/120th Broomfield Multi-Modal Study

About the Project

The project will analyze current conditions and provide data to better understand, and plan for future improvements. Considerations that will be studied include corridor safety for all modes of transportation, roadway capacity and operations for vehicular traffic, transit, and other active modes of transportation.

The study will evaluate traffic congestion, safety, travel lane capacity needs, travel-time reliability, transit operations, transit options, and transit-related infrastructure improvements on the corridor to facilitate trip reliability and reduced delay for various modes of travel.

This study will include the review of existing transportation facilities for their ability to withstand impacts from transit vehicles and recommendations will be made for improvements needed to support such operations. The study is designed to promote 120th Ave. as a future Bus Rapid Transit corridor as identified in the 2014 Northwest Area Mobility Study (NAMS).

Project Location is US 287 / 120th Street - The project area is located between US 287/Midway Blvd. Alter Street connection traveling approximately 3 miles east to the eastern terminus at the Lowell Blvd. in Broomfield.
