About the Project
This project is located in Northwestern Colorado in Mesa County near Fruita on US 6 from MP 20 to MP 26. The scope includes a two-inch mill and fill from edge of asphalt to edge of asphalt west of 20 Road, and on through travel lanes east of 20 Road.
Additional work includes:
- Removal and replacement of delineators
- Striping configuration changes

- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) minor updates

Traffic Impacts
Beginning Sept. 13, 2026, motorists and area residents can expect the following impacts:
- Single-lane closures with flagging operations and alternating one-way traffic
- Shoulder closures
- Reduced speeds in the work zone will be in place
- Motorists are urged to slow down and drive with caution through the work zone
