About the Project
The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin work on the merging of CR 31 & CR U to create room for a new railroad crossing alongside US 6 on June 1, 2025.
This project will improve the railroad crossings and roadways creating a better flow of traffic for motorists.

Work Schedule

- Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until 7 p.m. as needed, Monday through Friday
Traffic Impacts
Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:
- US 6 will have periodic Southbound closures, as well as CR 31 and CR U will have periodic one lane closures
- The speed limit may be reduced to 50 MPH through the work zone
