Advanced Planning Essential for Air Force Academy Game

October 7, 2010 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - DOUGLAS/EL PASO COUNTIES – If you are attending this Saturday’s football game at the Air Force Academy, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is advising drivers to add plenty of additional travel time to get to Falcon Stadium in time for kickoff at noon.

Last weekend’s game created traffic jams for several miles on southbound Interstate 25, from Castle Rock to the AFA interchange at North Gate Boulevard.

CDOT is suggesting drivers consider alternate routes from the Denver area, including State Highway 83 (Parker Road). Access from Highway 83 to the AFA/I-25 is available by using the County Road 105 to Monument, Interquest Parkway or Academy Boulevard.
