Waterline Work to Cause Delays on Wadsworth Boulevard Under US 285 This Weekend

February 18, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER— Starting at 7 p.m. tonight, February 18th, and continuing until 5 a.m. on Monday, February 21st, one lane of northbound and southbound Wadsworth Boulevard under US 285 will be closed as well as one left turn lane on the westbound US 285 off-ramp to Wadsworth Boulevard.

The closures will allow Denver Water to make the final tie-in for the waterline relocation project that started in late January 2011.

Throughout the weekend, one lane of northbound and southbound Wadsworth Boulevard under US 285 will remain open, but major delays are expected.  Motorists are encouraged to take Sheridan Boulevard or Kipling Parkway as alternate routes.

This weekend’s work will complete the waterline relocation project on Wadsworth Boulevard.  Additional work on Wadsworth Boulevard under US 285 may be necessary over the next five months as part of a safety improvement project currently underway by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
